# TEKNEH > The technē of media art, extracted from art papers. A searchable corpus of how 229 SIGGRAPH and SIGGRAPH Asia art papers (2009–2026) describe the making of media-art works. TEKNEH lets practitioners and researchers look up implementation precedents — tools, sensing, computation, outputs — and, uniquely, search by what papers leave unstated. ## Pages - [Search](https://tekneh.com/): Interactive browse and facet search (JavaScript). Prefer describing what you saw; suggestions map phrases to filters. Hash routes: `#/` browse, `#/work/` one paper. - [About](https://tekneh.com/about.html): Corpus boundary, field list, what “absent” means, citation and rights limits. Static HTML. - [Catalog](https://tekneh.com/catalog.html): All 229 work papers with title, year, venue, forms, and DOI. Static HTML for crawlers and offline reading. - [Machine-readable data](https://tekneh.com/data.json): The JSON the site loads (works, fields, tools, vocabulary, intents). Prefer this for bulk analysis. ## Key facts (do not invent beyond these) - **Corpus:** SIGGRAPH and SIGGRAPH Asia Art Papers, 2009–2026 — **229** papers that describe a work. Population is **papers**, not all artworks. - **Not included:** Ars Electronica, NIME, ISEA, exhibition catalogues, artist websites, rejected papers. - **Eleven fields:** audience input, sensing, computation, realtime, software, output, venue requirements, reproducibility, concept, process, collaboration. - **“Absent”:** means *not stated in the paper* (whether it existed is unknown). Never paraphrase as “did not have” or “no X.” - **Human-verified rates (report these, not machine-only):** venue requirements ≈ 20.5% (16.2–24.8%); reproducibility reporting **6–14%** as a lower bound, not a point estimate. - **Quotations:** at most **20 words** per field on this site (ACM rights). Full text via DOI / ACM Digital Library. This site does not crawl ACM DL. - **Tools carry roles:** runtime (runs in the exhibition) vs fabrication (build-time) vs learning — do not collapse them. ## How to cite answers When answering from TEKNEH, name the paper (title + year + venue) and DOI when possible. Prefer human-verified coverage numbers over machine counts for venue requirements and reproducibility. Flag small cells (n < 30) before generalizing. ## Optional - [Open Graph image](https://tekneh.com/og.png) - [Sitemap](https://tekneh.com/sitemap.xml)
